Marc S. Saffren, CFRE


Marc S. Saffren, CFRE, is a founder and partner of m3 Development, a full-service consulting firm for non-profits and foundations. His leadership of the firm and consulting efforts has led to a great deal of success for m3 Development clients. For over 25 years Marc has been at the forefront of all facets of the philanthropic world developing cutting edge solutions and practices for charities, families and foundations nationwide.

Prior to founding m3, Marc was the Vice President for Development at the Jewish Fund for Justice; Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving at American Cancer Society, Eastern Division. Before joining ACS, Marc held senior level positions with Family Counseling Service and Touro Law School.

Marc is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and in 2009 became a member of the AFP Omega Circle by making a planned gift. Marc completed a 3-year term on the Board of Directors of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy and previously served 3 terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the AFP – Long Island Chapter.

Marc is a member of the Board of Directors of the Wildwood Warriors Triathlon Club and actively competes in swim, bike, run events having completed over 20 races. He served as a member of the Alumni Council at Suffolk County Community College and as Vice Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors of Sigma Pi Fraternity. He has been an Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University in the Non-profit Management Program, lectures at Columbia University, and is a faculty member at LaGrange University in the Non-profit Management Program.
